Most people who want to become less dependent on the utility grid think "solar power" Inside their head they see those nice blue colored solar panels we see in every Nasa documentary. And in a way they are right. But there is more to it. In this tutorial we will guide through every step of building a solar electric energy system. A solar energy system starts with the Photovoltaic Cells. These individual cells provide very little power. In a Solar Panel they are inter connected (just like batteries in your appliances) to provide about 25 - 36 Volts
